Green Bay Engagement Session: Angie & Justin

As an artist, I have a love-hate relationship with nature. I love all the possibilities it presents for visual beauty in ways that man made creations can’t always match, for example. I also hate mosquitoes, for example. And sometimes nature has differing opinions when it comes to my artistic vision for photo sessions. This engagement session with Angie & Justin had all sorts of input from nature, and it worked out great!

Isn’t this location beautiful? It’s a favorite of mine because of how natural it looks–perfect for big sweeping landscapes that are relatively untouched and don’t look overly manicured. It was a great fit for these two to reflect the small town setting where they first met. Even though it rained a bit when we first got there, it still looked beautiful!

Aren’t they so cute together? I love working with engaged couples, hearing all about their wedding plans, and capturing such an awesome time in their lives. I don’t think we always realize how fast this time goes and how much you’re going to love looking back at these special times.

I’ve told many people it’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly. And sometimes that means being willing to do whatever it takes to get the shot…even if I risk the aforementioned mosquito bites, getting wet, and looking silly. It was totally worth it–their shots are gorgeous!

These two also imposed some homework upon themselves and created some props for the engagement session. They did a great job! The crane apparently thought so too, as you can see in this behind-the-scenes shot. I do love a good animal photobomb–wait til you see their video!
