Despite having an extended warm spell to start our winter, it was definitely cold the day we took these Green Bay engagement photos!
From the first time I talked with Amber, I have been constantly impressed by her sense of organization with her wedding planning. These two have got their acts together! We are thrilled to be a part of their wedding journey and help Amber and Paul turn those plans into reality.
Green Bay Engagement Photos
The original inspiration for this couple was a winter wedding. Once details and ideas became actual entries on the calendar, that turned into a spring wedding instead. (By the way, I’m not sure how much I can divulge about wedding details, so suffice it to say…just wait, it’s going to be breathtaking!) When we are involved throughout the planning with our wedding couples, we generally recommend that the engagement session happen at least six months prior to the wedding. For Amber and Paul, scheduling their session for winter was the perfect solution.
We never realized when we scheduled this winter session that the warm spell would last as long as it did this season. So unfortunately, we didn’t have snow for the photos. After all that warmth, this definitely felt cold though! Without seeing the coats you probably can’t tell, but it was freezing and windy the whole time.
We usually find that the groom-to-be’s favorite part of the engagement session is the kissing. In this case, though, I think Paul had perfectly justified reasons to prefer the snuggling!
One of the fun things about photography is that each session is so different. It works that way because when you work on-location, you’re guided by things like the environment and weather. Those factors not only have an impact on the experience of the session, but also inspire us in our process of how we create the photos themselves.
Thanks Amber & Paul for a great session full of fun and laughs! We’re so excited for you two!
